Better security with “Secure” websites

Starting in July/August some web browsers, including Google Chrome, are changing to better highlight websites that are “Not Secure”.

No need to be alarmed! As always, please be aware that you should never enter any personal information on a website marked as ‘Not Secure’.

This change is part of an ongoing effort to encourage better security throughout the Internet. The ‘Not Secure’ message simply means the website you are viewing does not use encryption. Not all sites require encryption or benefit from it, but those you enter personal information on or purchase things from certainly do.  If you have any questions about what this means for you and your organization please contact your Next Digital Account Manager for more information.
